How to pronounce – ed in English
Una dele difficoltà maggiori che incontro tra gli studenti quando insegno, è la pronuncia di -ed. Spero che questa tabella possa essere d’aiuto.
COME PRONUNCIARE – ED IN INGLESE
The past simple tense and past participle of all regular verbs end in -ed. For example:
Il passato semplice e il participio passato dei verbi regolari in inglese finisce con –ed. Per esempio: talk – talked.
Ciò che è importante nella pronuncia è il suono con cui termina, non la lettera o lo spelling. Per esempio, “fax” finisce con la lettera “x” ma suona come una “s”, like finisce con una “e” ma il suona come “k”
It is the sound that is important, not the letter or spelling. For example, “fax” ends in the letter “x” but the sound /s/; “like” ends in the letter “e” but the sound /k/.
Ed si pronuncia in 3 modi:– / Id/ o / t/ o / d/

Exceptions
The following -ed words used as adjectives are pronounced with /Id/:
